BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU ACADEMY

We are honored that you are interested in visiting and training at the Jean Jacques Machado Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy. We welcome practitioners from other academies and look forward to sharing our training environment with respectful and dedicated guests. Below you will find helpful information and answers to common questions regarding drop-in training at our academy.

Due to the high volume of students and visiting practitioners, all drop-ins are by appointment only. To request a visit, please email JJMachadoHQ@gmail.com in advance to schedule your training session.

Drop-in participants must be 18 years of age or older to attend adult classes. We do accept visitors 16 years of age and older, however a parent or legal guardian must be present to sign a participation waiver prior to training.

Please note that we do not provide rental or loaner gis. Visiting students are responsible for bringing their own gi. Gis of any color are permitted, and patches from your home academy are welcome. Our only uniform requirements are that all gis and rash guards must be clean and in good condition. A rash guard is required under the gi.

A gi is mandatory for all gi classes—no exceptions. For class times and availability, please refer to the Schedule tab on our website prior to booking your visit.

We respectfully ask all visitors to demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude toward our students, instructors, and staff. Proper hygiene is required at all times, including clean training attire and trimmed fingernails and toenails, to ensure a safe and professional training environment for everyone.

Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes before class to complete any required waivers and to take care of drop-in fees.
